Enjoying Pork
My husband and I love pork so whenever pork shoulder goes on sale, we end up with a scrumptious (and yes, fatty) meal.
We cook the pork shoulder in a pressure cooker to make it tender. It is immersed in water seasoned with salt, pepper, minced garlic, and a few pieces of bay leaf. We let it boil in the pressure cooker for at least 20 minutes to make sure that it is fully cooked. Once done, we broil the pork until the skin is golden brown, a sure sign that it will be crunchy. As for seasoning, I like to dip my pork slices in vinegar that has been mixed with a bit of salt, pepper, and ground garlic. This dish doesn’t usually last long for a second meal. Can you tell we like pork?
